About us...

DOOSTAN is made up of two organisations, Doostan Social Club and Doostan Limited. Doostan Limited is a non-profit limited company registered in the UK.

The social club was founded in December 2000 as a gathering of Iranian friends of various backgrounds, professions and interests. The club aims to socialise, network,to promote Persian Art and Culture in the UK as well as to promote education in the far eaches of Iran.

The club encourages its members to socialise, network and assist each other, as well as to promote education in the far reaches of Iran.

Among the numerous items of interest for the group, the main driver is the Doostan Charity. It was decided that we could make a bigger impact by building a school in a deprived part of Iran rather than donating money to needy families or deserving charities.

Doostan tries to be a useful and open forum for discussion of current issues among responsive and committed members. We aim to promote understanding and awareness between the diverse interests of our members and expand our vision by inviting similar thinking individuals.

Our aim is to foster friendship and co-operation amongst members and where possible, the community at large, whilst promoting the Iranian community and establishing bridges with our homeland; without affiliating to any political group or government organisations.
